Privacy
In short, this site keeps totals of page views that can’t be traced to anyone, and your email address if you ask for a free preview.
Who runs this site
kibitzer.dev is run by Kibitzer. For questions about your data, or to have it removed, write to privacy@kibitzer.dev.
Free preview requests
If you ask for a free preview, we store three things: the address, in lower case; the time you sent it; and a scrambled copy (a SHA-256 hash) of the removal link we show you, so that the link can find your entry. Nothing else: no name, IP address, browser details or where you came from.
We use the address only to get in touch about your preview and to tell you when Kibitzer opens. It stays until Kibitzer opens, or until you remove it. Nothing is sent automatically, not even a confirmation: any email you get from us is written by a person.
To remove your address, open the removal link shown after you sent your address and press “Remove my address”. That deletes your entry. Keep the link: we don’t store it, so we can’t show it again. If you’ve lost it, write to privacy@kibitzer.dev and we’ll delete your entry for you.
The list is stored in the EU, in a Cloudflare D1 database. Only the Kibitzer team can access it, and we never share, sell or rent it.
If we exchange emails about your preview, we keep them, including what you send us, such as your app’s address and the journey to test. We delete them when your preview is done, or sooner if you ask at privacy@kibitzer.dev. The removal link deletes your address from the list, not these emails.
Counting visits
We count page views with Traction, a small counter we run ourselves at stats.kibitzer.dev, to see which pages people read and how they find the site. Each view sends two things: the kind of page (the home page, the list of example run logs, a run log, or this page) and a broad source (direct, search, social, an AI assistant, a link on this site, or other). It doesn’t send the page’s address, which report it was, or the site you came from: your browser works out the source and sends only the category.
The counter keeps daily totals per kind of page and per source, and hourly totals of all views, for 90 days. It stores no IP address, cookie, identifier or browser details, so it can’t tell visitors apart or follow anyone across pages or days.
Visits aren’t counted if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also switch counting off for this browser. The choice is saved in this browser only and never sent to us.
Hosting
The site and the counter run on Cloudflare, which handles your connection details, such as your IP address, to deliver each request; our code doesn’t log or store them. The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites. To slow down abuse, Cloudflare counts preview requests per IP address over one minute; the count isn’t stored.
